The motto for the U.S.S. Liberator is from a speech given by G'Kar during the Babylon 5 episode "The Long Twilight Struggle",  written by J. Michael Straczynski. The U.S.S. Freedom motto  is from  a speech  given by Captain John Sheridan during the same episode.
