1. What is Star Trek : Liberator?
Star trek : Liberator is a fan fiction based web site that features the adventures of the crew of the U.S.S. Liberator during the dominion war. The main objective of the site was to give me something interesting to write about. The site also contains pictures and other information concerning the U.S.S. LIberator as well as the other ships of the Seventh Federation Starfleet. I am also trying to get other local Star Trek fan fiction writers to
allow me to display their work for others to read. Check back for updates
on this
2. Where are the stories?
Follow the ship's log link to the stories. Right now they are divided
into chapters. After the first story is completed, the chapters will be
combined.
3. Why don't you post more on the what's new page?
Most of the updates that I perform to the site are posted in the liberator
newsletter. I only post major news, like the new java enhanced pages on
the what's new page to save time.
4. Why aren't there more files in the file access area?
I am working to add more files to the download section but I don't want
to fall into the trap of having the same files as every other star trek
site. Currently, I only have the fonts that I use to create the pages available.
Also, the heavy hand of Paramount/Viacom hovers over the web, threatening
to squash every non "official" Star Trek site out of existence. The less
copyrighted files I have, the better.
5. How can I find out about the U.S.S. Liberator?
Follow the ship information link and the other links to specific pages.
More will be added later as well as information on other starship classes.
6. Where did you get the name for the U.S.S. Liberator?
Actually, the Liberator story began two years ago as a short story I
never finished. In that story the ship was the U.S.S. Victorious, a galaxy
class starship. However, as time passed and the star trek universe expanded
further, things changed. The dominion war and the enslavement of the federation
becoming the major story arc of deep space nine, the name seemed a natural
choice. Also, it's a tribute of sorts to Blake's 7.
7. When will the next chapter be finished? Actually, the first story, entitled "Reunions and Revelations", is complete
and online. Work on the next story, "Shattered Time", is proceeding
fairly well.
8. How can I submit stories to Star Trek : Liberator?
If you email a story to me, I will post it in the ship's log. You will be given full credit for the story and retain all rights to it. Preferably, your story should be about star trek but if you have a sci-fi or fantasy story that you want to share, I will be happy to post it here. If you are interested in writing a story set in the star trek : liberator
universe, send me a short message asking for the other liberator.faq file.
This file contains information not generally available on this site (because
it contains spoilers to future stories). This background information will
help you get a grasp of the main characters in my stories and may help
you to create your own.
9. Why aren't these questions more organized?
Because these are in the order that I was asked them. I save most of
the email I get and then answer it when I have time (but I will get back
to you personally a.s.a.p.).
More questions will be added later as they are asked and answered. Thank you for your interest and participation a making Star Trek : Liberator a worthwhile project for me. |
